Become a Member

What is FBCF's process for becoming a member?

Membership is for individuals ages 18 and older. You can begin the membership process by visiting the Information Desk, completing a Connect Card, or connecting with one of our pastors during the worship services.

The following is our five-step process:

  1. Salvation: We require all members to be saved. If you want to speak to a pastor about salvation, click here to email us. If you are already saved, please complete a Statement of Faith form (available at the Information Center). This is our way of ensuring all of our members are believers.
  2. Baptism: If you have not yet experienced believers' baptism, we would be honored to baptize you. If you would like to be baptized, click here to email us or text us at 903-695-6516.
  3. Attendance at our Explore First Class: This is our introductory class and is required for membership. Here you will learn about our history, vision, internal structure, ministries, and membership expectations. This step is our way of ensuring prospective members know what they are committing to before they become members. Register for the next Explore First Class HERE.
  4. Meet with one of our Pastors: A pastoral staff member will contact you for a one-on-one meeting. This allows you to share your story and ask additional questions about the church. It also helps us establish a plan of pastoral care and set up ways you can integrate into the church.
  5. Vote by our Board of Trustees: Our trustees are representatives from the congregation who work very closely with the Senior Pastor in church matters. Upon completion of the membership process, the Senior Pastor brings the names of the candidates to the trustees for final approval.
