PRESCHOOL MISSION; VISION

Our mission as the Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church Forney is to raise up the next generation, and their families, to come to know the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His ultimate, individual purpose for their lives. To help accomplish this, our Preschool curriculum focuses on the Levels of Biblical Learning: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Bible, Salvation, Creation, Church, People, Family, and Community & World.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE:

9:30 NURSERY; PRESCHOOL LIFEGROUPS

During the 9:30 a.m. hour, we have specially trained church leaders who will watch your preschooler in their age-appropriate classes. The Nursery classrooms contain fun and safe toys for your infant or toddler to play with as they start developing life skills such as babbling, holding onto things, crawling, walking and talking.

Our Preschool LifeGroups are designed to help your older preschool children as they grow older and begin to mature. Each class has an age-specific time where children will play, make a craft, sing worship songs, learn a Bible Story, and even eat some goldfish. We use the Bible Studies for Life curriculum created and published by Lifeway.

11:00 PRESCHOOL EXTENDED CARE

During the 11:00 a.m. hour, we provide extended care for all preschoolers. As always, you may choose to worship together as a family by attending one of our two worship services at either 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.! (More information about families worshiping together can be found below.)

If your child is in the nursery (ages birth to younger 2’s), they will stay in their same designated classroom. They can enjoy stroller rides and even some time on our soft-play playground, which is designed for children who are between 10 to 24 months old.

Two year olds will enjoy two rotations of playground fun and time in our centers room designed for younger preschoolers.

3, 4, & 5 year olds will have their own time of special rotations designed just for their age group! They will go through four rotations: music, Bible Story, centers room fun, and playground time! Because we believe that repetition is so important for preschoolers, they will learn the same lesson that was taught during their 9:30 a.m. LifeGroups.

FAMILIES WORSHIPING TOGETHER

We are so excited to see more and more families in our church congregation worshiping together with their little ones! If your child is between 3 years old and 3rd grade, we encourage you to take them with you to one of our two worship services. Our Senior Pastor highly encourages families with young children to worship together as a family. Why is this important?

• Little children attending worship services with their family will have the opportunity to be raised in a culture that sings to God, prays earnestly, and listens to a powerful message from the Senior Pastor.
• Children will then begin to understand the importance of a life lived within a local body of believers. If you are wanting to take your preschooler to service, let our Welcome Team know, and we will give you a special “Big Church Bag” that contains fun materials for you and your child to have as you attend a church service together as a family. SUNDAY REGISTRATION

Upon your arrival on Sunday mornings, you can register your child for Sunday Nursery, Preschool LifeGroups, or Extended Care, by visiting the First Kids Lobby and speaking with a Welcome Team Member. You may also pick up a Big Church Bag here too. We would, also, love to give you a special gift to welcome you and to answer any questions you may have about our Preschool Ministry and how you can get involved in all that God is doing in the life of First Baptist Church Forney!

WEEKLY SCHEDULE:

TUESDAY NIGHT PRAYER SERVICES | 6:30 P.M. IN THE FORUM

Senior Pastor Nathan Lino leads a Tuesday Night Prayer Service weekly in the Forum and everyone in the community is welcome to attend! This is a focused time of worship and intercessory prayer. A place where the Spirit of God meets people at their point of need as we cry out to Him. The Holy Spirit is always sufficient for our hurts, longings, disappointments and hopes. None of us fully understands the power of prayer, but we know when God is sought in desperation, He responds. Join us on Tuesday nights and bring your prayers straight to the Lord.

• Children and guests are always welcome.
• For younger children, we have coloring sheets available. You are welcome to dress them in their pajamas, bring their favorite quiet toys, and even pack a snack!
• For children with special needs, we have a designated table full of fidgets just for them.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

For our 3 and 4 year olds, we have AWANA Cubbies Club that takes place during the school year. This is a time full of fellowship and fun with our trained church leaders. The preschoolers will begin their time singing songs, saying pledges, reciting the Cubbies Club theme verse and song, and even watching a fun puppet show! Then, they will be led through four rotations: music, Bible Story, playground, and snack time. Drop-off begins at 6:15 p.m. and pick up begins at 7:45 p.m. in our big preschool area called the “CEC”.E

CUBBIES REGISTRATION

Registration is required in order to participate in AWANA Cubbies Club. There is a $30 registration fee, per child. To register, CLICK HERE or talk to a Welcome Team member upon your arrival on Wednesday nights. It is preferred that you register BEFORE you come.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHILDCARE

Childcare is for ages birth through two years old. This is provided for those who are serving in our Preschool, Children’s, Youth, Special Needs, or Music Ministry. Or, if you have registered for a Bible Study that takes place on campus on Wednesday Nights, we have childcare available for you as well. Please send an email to ehall@fbcforney.org if you are in need of childcare.

PARENT & CHILD DEDICATION

To celebrate you and your newest addition to your family, we host four dedications each year that take place during our 11:00 a.m. service. Why should I dedicate my child?

• As Christian Parents, dedication is an important time to make the public commitment that you recognize the great responsibility that is yours to raise your child to love God and to serve Him and that God has a sovereign plan for your child.
• You are also committing to God, and to your church family, that you will raise your child to discover God’s will for their lives, to model and teach your child the importance of a life lived in God’s Word and covered in prayer, and to demonstrate the importance of being an active part of a local body of believers.
• Does dedicating my child save them? It is important to recognize that this ceremony does not secure the eternal destiny of your child, for that is something they must decide for themselves as they grow older. But one of the main commitments you are making during the dedication is to pray that one day, your child will come to know Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

MOTHER'S ROOM

Directly across from our preschool area, we have a special Mother's Room available for mothers to use. This is a private place specifically designed for mothers to take their hungry and upset babies. There is also a TV provided where you can watch the service LIVE. For assistance, please see a Welcome Team member in the First Kids Lobby.

ADULTS SERVING IN PRESCHOOL

Our Preschool Ministry is constantly thriving and growing each week! This means, we are always looking for more willing hands and hearts to serve the next generations. If you are interested in serving in the Preschool Ministry, please send an email to ehall@fbcforney.org where we will work with you to find your perfect place of service!

• We ask that you serve every Sunday or every other Sunday at either 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m., and we have many opportunities in every age group.
• We also have opportunities for you to serve on Wednesday nights. We ask that you serve every Wednesday night during the school year.
• Please note: In order to ensure the safety of all who enter our campus, First Baptist Church Forney requires a completed background check and child protection training on all those who serve in our Preschool, Children, Youth, and Special Needs ministries

YOUTH SERVING IN PRESCHOOL

If you are in the 7th through 12th grade, we have a place for you too! We also love our youth who serve the needs of our church. If you are interested in serving in the Preschool Ministry, you or your parent can send an email to ehall@fbcforney.org where we will work with you to find your perfect place of service!

• For youth, we only ask that you serve one Sunday a month at either 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m., and we have many opportunities in every age group.
• Please note: For 9th-12th graders, in order to ensure the safety of all who enter our campus, First Baptist Church Forney requires a completed child protection training on all youth who serve in our Preschool, Children, Youth, and Special Needs ministries.

WE ARE HIRING!

We are in need of Childcare Workers who are 18 years and older. You must be available to work Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights during the school year, and during various church events throughout the year.
